POSITION TITLE:          Substitute Teacher

FLSA:                          Non Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:        High School Diploma or GED

REPORTS TO:              Principal and/or other Supervisor

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Approved substitute teachers are placed on a call list and are called as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher.

2. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.

3. Effectively implement division initiatives.

4. Effectively collaborate with department and grade level teachers.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:   

1. Abide by state statutes, school board policies and regulations.
2. Attend meetings and perform duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors.
3. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
4. Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, division policy and administrative regulation.
