POSITION DESCRIPTION: Full Time Maintenance Worker
12 Months/8 Hours per day
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Properly licensed to operate a motor vehicle.
- Practical experience in maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lift 55 pounds to should height occasionally
- Ability to push / pull a minimum of 20 pounds frequently
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Examines school buildings on a regular basis for needed repairs and maintenance.

Establishes and recommends priorities on repair projects.

Estimates cost of repair projects in terms of labor, materials, and overhead.

Assign and supervise crews for maintenance work and coordinates with Head Groundskeeper on manpower for specific projects or seasons.

Ensure quality assurance of work product of maintenance staff.

Develop and manage a system for prioritizing unbudgeted repairs.

Prepare monthly reports on costs of work done, materials used, and labor expended.

Order materials as needed, and makes recommendations of supplies and equipment for purchase.

Consult with building principals regarding the establishment of regular preventative maintenance programs.

Advise on the hiring of contractors to perform certain maintenance or repair services.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Operate safely all District provided equipment.

Attend meetings as requested by supervisors or District administration.

Be respectful and courteous to parents, students and staff.

Maintains such personnel and other records as are required.

Recruits, screens, recommends for hiring, and trains all workers necessary to the maintenance program.

Perform other duties as may be assigned and is able to be inconvenienced to get buildings ready for operation for the next day.

Perform as a team player on other duties as may be assigned.

Dress and grooming should be appropriate. Wear proper uniform and name badge.
