POSITION TITLE:        Instructional Technology Specialist

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current state teaching certificate

• Master's degree or above preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

• Proven organization, leadership & management skills

• Positive interpersonal relationship skills,

   

   

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 11 month contract

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Train and support teachers and other staff in effective instructional technology techniques.

2. Troubleshoot and solve "break-fix" technology issues within the school with the assistance of the Director of Technology.

3. Train and support teachers in classroom teaching methodologies aligned with the National Education Technology Standards (NETS) that engages student learning through the integration of technology.

4. Train and support teachers in the implementation of the NETS for students.

5. Assist teachers and curriculum committees in the identification, evaluation, and use of appropriate instructional software.

6. Participate in school and district technology planning and evaluation.

7. Provide model lessons for teachers, which facilitate the integration of technology into the instructional program.

8. Assist the Director of Technology in the design and implementation of staff development opportunities, which integrate technology into the curricula.

9. Provide support and professional development to teachers of online learning courses and support the development of future online course offerings.
