POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Payroll Specialist
FLSA: Exempt Administrative
REPORTS TO: Deputy Superintendent
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-month employment (250 days) with benefits
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient typing skills (Minimum 60 words per minute)
- Proficient 10-key calculator skills
- Effective attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Recordkeeping on all leave taken by certified and classified staff.
- Assist staff with correct accounting of time.
- Reconcile pay information.
- Make necessary payroll adjustments regarding pay, benefits, deductions, etc.
- Reconcile Teacher Retirement and Non-Teacher Retirement contributions for each payroll.
- Maintain payroll records.
